Girlfriends always find a way of making your personal items theirs. One night, in the lobby of the lodge where we were staying, my girlfriend wanted to read a book by the fire – but when reaching for her glasses, she remembered she left them in the room. She grabbed mine, hanging from my shirt, and proceeded to sit down and start reading. After noticing how the masculine shape of the frames accentuated her delicate features, I set out to create a women’s frame with a tomboy sensibility.
